Andrea Benvenuti
As a child, I was captivated by how light danced through metals and gemstones. The jewels worn by the women in my family held a presence far beyond their form: I couldn’t define it then, but I felt it deeply. Soon, I realized it wasn’t just their beauty that drew me—it was a deeper urge to understand the material, to connect with it intimately.
I began my training, worked in various ateliers, and logged countless hours at the bench. First, you master technique; then, you learn to listen. There comes a moment when metal ceases to be something you control, becoming instead a conscious partner—a true dialogue with matter. That’s when technique transcends itself, and a jewel gains its own strength and beauty.
It is from that moment that one can truly claim an art as one’s own—and there my story truly begins.
Sion Antique Treasures
In 2008, Sion Antique Treasures was born—my atelier. It was more than a business: the tangible expression of a passion nurtured for years.
My work draws from ancient jewelry, especially Etruscan goldsmithing—its extraordinary ability to shape metal with structure and rhythm has always captivated me. I sought to master those techniques through practice, not to copy but to revive them. Ancient methods are not relics: they are living knowledge.
Recognition
In 2009, the Lombardy Region awarded me the title of Artisan Excellence in Precious Metals. That same year, at the Maestri Orafi exhibition in Milan, I won first prize for a necklace inspired by the Castellani tradition. These milestones confirmed the path I was forging. Over the years, collaborations with leading names in fashion and jewelry shaped my growth—leading me with growing confidence to the vision I pursue today.
My jewels
Nearly twenty years on, my work evolves in constant discovery. Each jewel starts as an idea developed, imagined, left to mature. It takes form in a drawing (often just a sketch) before meeting the material, through a vital process of intuition, focus, trial, and refinement. Every detail is handcrafted, one by one. Always, I seek balance: between knowledge, experience, and what emerges in creation.
My jewels defy fashion. They claim their own identity—enduring through time, rooted in origin yet transformed by my sensibility.
